Mission & Goals
Coalition building is about balancing the needs of the community(s) served with the interests of stakeholders important to a coalition’s development and success. It requires coming to mutual understandings through meetings and discussions that assess the relevance of a coalition, create a common vision for the work of a coalition, and attempt to build unity amongst soon-to-be members. As the coalition develops, revisiting the mission, goals and initial meetings will be an important tool in maintaining unity and focus.
