Target Populations
The diversity of a coalition is extremely important to ensure that communities and organizations affected by a
coalition’s work and ideals are involved in policy innovations and
decision-making processes. The support and participation of a wide
range of community members, for-profits, and nonprofits that understand
and advocate for (or against) policies or legislation that affect their
communities demonstrate to elected officials the importance of certain
issues and pressures them to take action.
