Corp. Structure

Not all coalitions are created the same. Coalitions can be organized as a loose affiliation of groups, whether on a contractual basis or otherwise, a nonprofit, or quasi-governmental. A coalition's form of corporate entity, or lack thereof, may change as the coalition grows from a grassroots initiative to a large diverse membership with multi-pronged policy initiatives. Additionally, the corporate structure of a coalition may determine its governing body and the sources and manner in which the coalition obtains funding. For all of these reasons it is important for a coalition to select the right type of corporate structure for its current needs.
