Sources

Sources of funding for a coalition can play a significant role in determining its activities and even its existence. A coalition needs various sources of funding, or streams of revenue, to support not only its objectives, but also its internal governance and operations. Revenue streams include membership dues, grants from foundations and government agencies, and corporate giving or sponsorship. Regardless of revenue stream, a coalition must make sure that relationships are built and that funders are confident in its ability to achieve agreed upon objectives.
