Letters to the Editor

Letters to the Editor, op-eds, and other opinion pieces are used to express a viewpoint on topical issues and draw attention to your coalition's work. Typically, they present a perspective on a current event or trend, or respond to another editorial piece or news column. Writing an opinion article can be one of the best means to influence the perceptions of the media and the general public on asset building issues.

When writing opinion articles, the rule of thumb is to write short paragraphs and provide the information in a clear and concise way. Mastering this style of writing and seeking out op-ed opportunities will ensure that your coalition is seen as a source of clear and reliable information on important issues.
